PS4 Firmware Update 4.5 might be available this week

Rumors say that PS4 System Update 4.5 (codenamed Sasuke) is going to be released this week.

The beta of this update was released during the first days of February and was closed a few days ago.

One of the main feature for this beta is the ability to plug an external HDD (must be USB 3.0 and up to 8TB in capacity), to the PS4 which will allow you to download and install games and  applications directly in this unit. These games/applications will be available from the Content Launcher of the Home Screen.

Other functionalities included in this update will be the option to set in-game screenshots as the background image for the PS4’s home screen, improvements to the Quick Menu feature, simplified notification list, ability to post on PlayStation Network Activity Feeds and the ability to view 3D Blu-rays directly to the PS VR headset.

We’ll let you know once the new firmware update is released and available for the users to download.
